Wealth Business Leader, Asia
Janet is the Wealth business leader for Mercer in Asia. She oversees and is responsible for the Wealth (investment and retirement) business in the region.
Before joining Mercer, Janet was the Director of Investments, Greater China at Willis Towers Watson. She worked with institutional clients (sovereigns, pension, insurance, corporate and wealth management) in the Greater China region (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). Janet was also a core member of the Asia leadership team.
Janet's experience spans a wide range of investment services (asset liability review and strategy, portfolio construction, manager review, selection and monitoring, fund governance and transformation, discretionary management, member communication and education and related tools' developments) and a diverse range of asset classes (public equities and fixed income, private equities, illiquid credit, real estate and infrastructure).
Janet is the Vice Chairman, the Chairman of the Members Communication Subcommittee and a member of the Business Strategy Subcommittee of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association (HKRSA). She has been a delegate and a supporter to the annual Cross Straits Pension Forum, of which the HKRSA is a key organizer. Janet is also a Management Committee member and a member of the Research and Development Subcommittee of the Taiwan Pension Fund Association and an Advisory Committee member of the FTSE Taiwan Index Committee.
Janet graduated with a bachelor of economics and finance from The University of Hong Kong and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Strategy Leader - Investment Research
Beverley joined Mercer as a manager researcher in June 2010 and subsequently took on the role of global head of retail research in September 2011.
In January 2018, she became the strategy leader for investment research. In this role she works closely with the global head of investment research and the boutique leaders, leading research-related projects and helping to shape the direction of investment research, ensuring that IR remain commercial and provide a market leading service. As part of this role, Beverley is responsible for the implementation of Mercer FundWatchTM from a research perspective, and is based currently in Singapore to assist with the launch of the service.
Beverley continues with her responsibilities with regard to Global Retail Research and retains oversight of the WM research team led by Sagar Shah.
Chee Loong Chong
Wealth Business Leader, Singapore
Chee Loong is a principal consultant and heads the Wealth business in Singapore at Mercer. He has over 20 years of professional experience in the financial/investment industry, spanning financial supervision, investment management and investment consultancy. Prior to joining Mercer, he was an investment consultant with Cambridge Associates, where he worked with a range of institutional investors, including universities and private clients, to develop investment strategy, implement portfolios and serve as an advisor on construction and oversight of their hedge fund portfolios.
Chee Loong started his career with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 1995, first as a financial regulator primarily responsible for formulating policies regulating the securities and financial advisory industries. He subsequently held the position of lead portfolio manager (Foreign Exchange) with MAS, where his core responsibility was the investment management of Singapore’s official foreign reserves. After leaving MAS in 2008, Chee Loong joined Pacific Asset Management Singapore as an investment manager responsible for managing portfolios through FX strategies and fixed income.
Chee Loong holds a bachelor of accountancy (first-class honors) from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and is a CFA Charterholder.
